To request a quilt for someone with cancer |
||||||
WelcomeDear Visitors: We would like to welcome you to our new website. You may notice a few changes as you browse easier navigation, improved organization, and a consistent appearance throughout the site. While we may look a bit different, what has not changed is our commitment to our community: comforting people with cancer one handmade quilt at a time. And all those handmade quilts have added up very quickly: in January, we delivered our 10,000th quilt to a person with cancer living in the Winnipeg area, a major achievement for an organization that is not even 10 years old. Of course, none of this would be possible without two very special groups of people: first, our 800 volunteers, who spend their valuable time sewing, packing, delivering, answering e-mails, laundering, and all the other tasks that keep this organization moving forward. Without this army of angels, there would be no Victorias Quilts Canada. To each of them, I offer my humblest thanks for continuing to answer the growing needs in our communities. The second group of people who must be applauded are our sponsors: quilt shops and notions companies, print shops, art houses, textile manufacturers, coffee and sandwich shops, and the many other corporate sponsors without whose support our ongoing work would not be possible. To each and every one of you, private individuals and corporate entities, please accept our heartfelt thanks, not only from Victorias Quilts, but also from the 10,000 people whose lives we all have touched. With your continued, generous assistance, it is our intent to continue serving our community in the future.
Wed like to hear from you
